2D Animation Academy
(Class Size Limit 10)
2D animation is the most popular and successful of the animation platforms. If you need proof, the Simpsons is a 2D animation that has been successfully running for 32 years. Family Guy and SpongeBob, also 2D, have been on television for 21 years and are still going strong. Many of the popular TV animations are 2D, and the demand is growing. No other animation platform has that track record of success.
This academy will start at the beginner’s level and steadily but quickly provide the information and experience needed to create animations. During the week, we will explore the world of 2D animation, learn different styles and techniques, use graphics and audio software, then finally put students’ knowledge to the test and create an animation scene by the end of class. The only equipment needed is willingness to learn, a healthy dose of motivation, and imagination. We’ll provide the hardware.
