All high school students are eligible to apply to be an intern for the Summer Arts Academy.
The Intern position is an unpaid position, but will fulfill Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, with teacher approval given at the conclusion of the program. All Summer Arts Academy Programs are held Mondays – Thursdays at BISFA. Applications will be available beginning Monday, March 30, 2026.
Completed applications are due on or before FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2026. Please click on link and fill out the google form. A permission slip will be sent via email for you to have signed by your parent and 1 of your discipline teachers. Completed persmission slip can be placed in the Foundation’s mailbox in the front office. Students must have a completed permission slip turned in on order to be a summer intern. Late applications will not be accepted.
Each intern selected is expected to:
- Attend each day of the academy and be available for the full lweek.
- Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the camp each day.
- Be prepared to stay until the last student in your program leaves with their parent/guardian.
- Help with any administrative needs that arise during the academy day related to any program offered at the camp.
- Help Instructors and the Foundation staff with instruction, when requested and appropriate.
- Stay with the academy group during lunch and accompany them to and from the classroom each day.

Applications and persmission slip must be completed in order to participate as a student intern. Students will be responsible to complet the yellow SSL sheet and submit that to the school for the SSL hours to be applied to your graduation requirements.
