This fund was established by Reverend Janice Dorsey in 2008 when she was named a People’s Choice Award winner. Reverend Dorsey named the endowment in honor of her late husband, Bill Dorsey. The scholarship is designed for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts to offset the cost of materials, supplies, and other elements directly related to their arts discipline.

One recipient will be awarded $550. Applicants must live in Washington County, Maryland and be enrolled at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts as a sophomore, junior, or senior. Preference is given to students with a concentration in dance or vocal performance.
