We have recently launched this year’s campaign, and we are thrilled to announce that our Benefactor Sponsor level is already full! However, there are still numerous sponsorship opportunities available.
This year, we are excited to introduce a new Sponsorship Level! We are seeking food sponsors for our Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Holiday Spectacular Showcase, where the foundation provides meals for approximately 300 students before each holiday performance.

2024-2025 Annual Brick Campaign Kick-Off
The Barbara Ingram Foundation is offering a unique opportunity to make a mark on downtown Hagerstown. Join our 2024-2025 Buy a Brick Campaign and, for a $250 donation, we will engrave a brick to be placed on the sidewalk in front of Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and Vincent Rauth Groh Academic Center! To kick off this year’s campaign we are offering a special 25% discount to the “Class of 2025”. Bricks for this special offer will be $187.50!!! Discount Deadline is November 25, 2024. Payment plans are available, please contact the office for information.
Each 4” x 8” brick will include up to three (3) lines of engraving, with up to 17 characters per line. Character count includes numbers, letters, and spaces. Bricks may only be inscribed with names, dates and titles or “in memory of” or “in honor of.”

Student Ambassador Program
We are so excited to have the students back with us again this year. We are currently recruting new student ambassadors for the new school year.
Student Ambassadors meet with the BISFA Foundation Staff on a monthly basis for a mentoring session. Discussion topics include professionalism, fundraising and philanthropy. In addition, Student Ambassadors will assist with and participate in various Foundation projects, like greeting and talking with donors at the annual Donor Society Event, giving tours of the school to prospective donors, families and community members and special downtown events and programs. Each student will receive SSL hours for participating in all activities and events, including monthly meetings. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 8:00 AM.

Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Foundation Announces New Board Members
HAGERSTOWN, Maryland, July 12, 2024—Barbara Ingram School for the Arts (BISFA) Foundation announces five new board members for the 2024-25 fiscal year. They include Katie Anderson, Kelly Batey, Pam Francis, Geraldine Otremba and Clifford Springer.
Katie Anderson is the owner of Sprout: Plants & Things, a specialty houseplant and gift boutique located in Williamsport, Maryland. Prior to opening her business, Katie taught in Washington County Public Schools for 17.5 years, most recently, as the lead creative writing teacher at BISFA from 2012-2022.
Kelly Batey serves as the primary private wealth manager in Sterling Financial Management’s Frederick, Maryland, office. She has been with the firm for 13 years, having previously worked for Home Federal Savings Bank in the Investment Center, where she received her securities licenses.
Pam Francis serves as the Communications & Operations Manager for RS Will Wealth Management in Frederick, Maryland. She is the theater liaison for the BISFA Parent Guild and has three children attending the school in technical theatre, photo/cinema and instrumental.
Prior to her retirement, Geraldine Otremba spent more than 40 years in philanthropy, international exchange, and the management of major cultural institutions, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Library of Congress. She has a granddaughter who attends BISFA in the photo/cinema department.
Clifford Springer is a returning Barbara Ingram Foundation board member having served previously as a founding member when the school first opened. He is a former Montgomery County Public school teacher and administrator, principal partner of Beaver Creek Antique Market, president and CEO of Benjamin Art Gallery and currently works as a Master Trading Advisor to the film industry. His scholarly credits include Lincoln, Gods and Generals and Gettysburg.
Leaving the Barbara Ingram Foundation Board after several years of dedicated service are Cynthia Perini (past president), Lisa Shank, Lara Shepherd and Eddie Webb.

“They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re altogether ooky!” The Broadway musical sensation The Addams Family Musical will be presented by the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts this April 13, 14, 20, and 21 at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, MD. From the creators of the Jersey Boys’ Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and Drama Desk Award-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa, the frightfully delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch come to spectacular life in this all new story, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams. The magnificently morbid family is put to the test when outsiders come to dinner, hurling them into a night that will change their lives forever. The all-school musical will feature Manuel Mejias and Mayzi Shank as the Addams Patriarch and Matriarch. Mejias was featured as Plankton in last year’s Spongebob the Musical with Shank recently portraying Claire in the world premier of BARE-A Pop Opera School Edition. Rounding out the Addams household will be Eliza Gregory as Wednesday and Fae Ward as Pugsley. Comedic favorite Natalie Stoner will be
Grandma with Caleb Bowers as Fester and Joshua Laguerre as Lurch. Wednesday’s love interest Lucas and his family will be played by Hayden Souders,
Nathan Lushbaugh and Layla Bragunier. Sounders and Lushbaugh shared the title role of Spongebob in the 2023 production of Spongebob The Musical with Bragunier
making her principal character debut.
Student workshop shows will be held on April 16, 17, and 18. These modified performances offer groups of students a rare opportunity to see how productions such

Summer Arts Academy 2024 Registration NOW OPEN!
The BISFA Foundation’s Summer Arts Academy program is now open for enrollement!
Please visit https://barbaraingramfoundation.org/summer-arts-academy/ for online registration and additional information.
Doors will open at 8:30 AM for daily drop-off. Academies begin at 9 am. All academies take place at BIFSA; 7 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
Full Day Academies will need to pack lunch daily. Students can bring a waterbottle to refill in water stations throughtout the school. Lunch will be 12 to 12:45 daily.
All academies are open to any students meeting grade and expierence requirements.
Participants do not have to be WCPS Students!
Summer Arts Academy 2024
We are so excited to be offering our Summer Arts Academy Programs again this year. Our programs are available to all interested students in grades 5- 12. You do not have to be a Washington County resident to attend. The acadamies are designed for students interested in the arts at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts.

2024 Summer Arts Academy
The foundation is excited to offer our Summer Arts Academy Program again this year.
Our Summer Academies will take place at The Barbara Ingram School for the Arts – Monday thru Thursday from 9 to 4 pm beginning June 24th – August 1st. There will not be any academies offered the week of July 4th.
